UMI Arts
UMI Arts is the peak Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and cultural organisation for Far North Queensland

UMI Arts was established in 2005 and its mission is to operate an Indigenous organisation that assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to participate in the maintenance, preservation and protection of cultural identity.

UMI Arts also operates as the Cairns Indigenous Art Centre in order to provide support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists who live and work in Cairns. UMI Arts is open to the public and all are welcome to visit the UMI Arts Arts Galleries and Retail Shop.

An annual UMI Arts program delivers on a diverse range of events and activities including many solo and group art exhibitions, Community Arts Markets, Artist Talks and the Big Talk One Fire Festival.

UMI Arts engages its member artists on various art commissions and work and is happy at any time to discuss the art needs and requirements of businesses, organisations and Government Departments.

UMI Arts also hires its galleries out to business and community partners and also operates a Corporate Gift Business for Events and Conferences through its website www.umiarts.com.au
